ALL ABOUT
The question today is, “What is it all about.”
That is, our walk with the Lord.
Is it about what we can get out of it? I think not.
Is it about what we put into it? Not really, it’s more about what God put into it, and doing our best to make sure God gets out of it (that is our Christian experience), the Praise and the Glory for all that He has put into it.
It’s not about what I can do. It’s about what He has done.
It’s not about what I can accomplish, but rather about what He has already accomplished for me and for you. (This is not to say that we should not live our lives exclusively for the Lord)
It’s not about me getting a better job. It’s more about me being thankful for the job that I have. “For he that will be rich falls into diverse temptations.” (Philip. 4:11, for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.)
It’s not about me getting a new car, but praising Him for the car that I have.
It’s not even about me being healed. It’s about God being Glorified, and Praised for His goodness and kindness toward man. Healing is for the most part a natural side effect of our CONTINUAL trust in Christ.
It’s not about my will, but about His will.
It’s not about my ability, but His All Encompassing Abilities.
It’s not about how strong I am but it’s about how all powerful He is.
It’s not about how good I am, but about How good Jesus is.
It’s not about how free of sin I am. It’s about how Jesus set me free from sin.
It’s not about me being righteous either. It’s about the Blood of Jesus paying the price for me to have the Righteousness of God in Him.
Neither is it about how just I now am in the eyes of God. What it’s really about is how Jesus completely Justified us before our Heavenly Father with His Own Blood.
And let us not forget that it is certainly not about me sanctifying myself through my own self efforts. Again it is about being Sanctified because of the Blood of Christ, and with the leading, direction, and direct help of the Holy Spirit (which will only happen as long as we are continually trusting in all that Christ accomplished for us on the Cross).
Neither is it, I believe, about the abundance of food we have, or do not have. It is about our God that feeds the sparrow and looks at us as much more important than many sparrows.
It is not about who we are in this world either. It’s about who we are in the sight of God because of our faith in Christ.
But it is neither about our great faith which we have in Christ, but about the measure of Faith which the Lord has given to us, that we may be able to believe in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let’s not forget that it is not even about receiving that measure of Faith because we are somehow worthy, but it’s about us receiving that measure of Faith by Gods Grace (even though we are not worthy).
It’s not about us being so in tune with God that we received the Baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT. It’s more about God giving us a measure of Faith to believe His Word that promises the Holy Spirit to Believers.
