AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST

Psalms 103:12  As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
When we receive remission of sins by repentance and baptism (Acts 2:38) and are Justified through the Faith of Jesus Christ (Gal.2:16), then God removes our sins (transgressions) as far as the east is from the west.
Our normal imaginative processes concerning the removal of something is not the same as what God actually does in the process of removing our sins (transgressions). When God removes our sins as far as the east is from the west, he no longer remembers our sins (Jeremiah 31:34, Hebrews 8:12,10:17).
Let me ask you. Do you remember your past sins? God doesn’t! (Because of the Blood of Jesus Christ, He has made the choice not to) When he looks at a person who has received Justification through the Faith of Jesus Christ, he sees only the Righteousness which that person has attained by virtue of the Blood of Jesus Christ having been applied to his life by Faith.
The Blood of Christ purges your conscience from dead works to serve the Living God (Heb. 9:14). Therefore, to dwell on any past sins in your life is like imagining something that has never happened. ( The definition of Justification is: Just as if I had never sinned. [This is the view God takes of the Christian who is trusting in the Blood which Jesus Christ shed on the Cross]). He looks at them, just as if they had never sinned.

AND IF I MESS UP

What if I mess up, even though I’m living for the Lord and trusting in him with all my heart? (This will happen.[1 John 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the Truth is not in us] Everyone sins. Christians however are not dominated by sin. And, Christians do their best CONTINUALLY, not to sin).
Heb.4:14 says, Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, Who is passed into the Heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.(1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.)
15 For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

The purpose of the High Priest, under the Old Covenant, was to offer both Gifts and Sacrifices for sins. (Heb.5:1) The purpose of our High Priest under the New Covenant is to do the same, which he has already done, once and for all. Now Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of the Father and offers up continuous intersession for all true Believers. (Heb. 7:24-27) He ever lives to make intercession for those who come unto God by Him.
