ELIDED PRAISE
Why does praise
Seem to be missed,
From the Christians
Jaded lips.
The rising of
His sureness plies,
To lift himself
Before his eyes.
Salvation clearly
In his grasp,
What er he don’t
Sure it will last.
For Cleansing Blood
Shed long ago,
Will keep him pure
As driven snow.
Still thankfulness
For what he’s got,
Does not seem
To be his lot.
I wonder if
His faith might list,
Without Praise as
A catalyst. |
