GATHER THE TARES

Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn (Mat. 13:30).

The tares and wheat grew up together and now the harvest is to take place.
What is interesting to be noticed here (among other things), is that the tares were to be gathered first. And they were to be bound together in bundles.
Because the true believers in Christ, are the wheat which will be gathered into his barn (which would obviously be the Rapture of the Church); does one wonder what is meant by the tares being gathered first in bundles to be burned? Remember, they grew together. It seems the growing together has actually been taking place in what we call, “The Church.”(by this I mean the Church buildings more or less)

It’s important to notice that the growth of the wheat and the tears has taken place in the same place. By realizing this we can understand to a larger degree who the tares are, what there purpose is, and perhaps how they will be gathered, and bound into bundles.

In Matt. 15:13, Jesus said, “Every plant, which My Heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
If we look back at verse 3 of Chapter 15, we will see who he is talking about as being, “Rooted Up.” Why do you also transgress the Commandment of God by your tradition? This was said to the Scribes and Pharisees who were complaining because his disciples had not washed their hand before they ate. This was not an issue of cleanliness, but an issue of the traditions of men. For they had taught that an evil spirit could sit on a persons hands, so if you washed your hands you would wash off the evil spirit, but if you didn’t you could take in the evil spirit when you eat. This of course was incorrect, but as verse 9 tells us they were teaching for doctrines the commandments of men; even so are many being taught today. The Pharisees did want the people to have Faith. However, it was a Faith in their traditions which they propagated, rather than Faith in God and His coming Christ!
In many cases the Blind are leading the Blind, and they shall both fall into the pit. These I believe are the Tares of Matt. 13:30
Having thus said; what is the nourishment which the tares use for growth (seeing that they are living among the true believers who have their nourishment in Christ and his Word). Is it not the abundant false doctrine ( doctrine which is not scriptural) which seems to be prolific in the Church at this time (this can be any doctrine which leads a person to have faith in something other than what was accomplished by Christ on our behalf on the Cross)? The tares I believe grow on this false doctrine which is produced and nurtured be the Devil himself. Actually, some of these tares are used by Satan himself in order to propagate, “any doctrine which will move people away from, Faith which is exclusively in what Christ accomplished on the Cross.”

Its seems quite unmistakable that the tares were planted because of a desire to corrupt the crop of wheat (much the same way as the Pharisees corrupted the Laws which God had given the Children of Israel). How do the tares in the Church work to corrupt the True Believers, who are trusting continually in Christ and what he has accomplished at Calvary? By doing what I have stated in the previous paragraph. Present and (or) propagate anything at all which will get people who are actually Redeemed, to change their focus from Christ and Him Crucified, to something (anything) else.

It is not our job to try and get rid of the tares. The Lord said, (Mat.13:41) The Son of Man shall send forth His Angels, and they shall gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity.
We need to simply, “CLING TO THE CROSS AND WHAT CHRIST ACOMPLISHED FOR US THEREON.” By doing this, we will have the Holy Spirits help in understanding the Word of God, with health problems, and with anything else with which you may be having a problem.
