HIS PROVISION
Romans 8:2, says, “For the Law (this is one of Gods Laws, actually, probably the most powerful Law in the universe, as pertains to man) of the Spirit (The Holy Spirit) of Life (the way life is given through the Holy Spirit to believing man) in Christ Jesus (pertains to what is given to the believer because of what Christ did at Calvary’s Cross) has made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.
What the believer receives via the Holy Spirit because of this Law (which is only in place because of what Jesus did on the Cross), is freedom from the Law of Sin and Death.
When such a believer is set free from the Law of Sin and Death, he thereby receives the opposite of Law, Sin, and Death. The opposites of Law, Sin, and Death is Liberty, Righteousness, and Life.
First let’s look at Righteousness.
I love to thank Jesus for all that he has done to make me Righteous in the sight of God.
I like to put it like this.
Thank you Jesus for allowing those spikes to be driven through your hands and your feet; shedding your Precious and Holy Blood in order to pay my sin debt and to pay the price for my awfulness. For I know Lord that I could not in any way have possibly paid the debt which I owed for my sin.
Thank you Jesus for Paying the price for Righteousness with your own Blood, so that I can be righteous in the sight of God, through you. For There was nothing in my unrighteous condition which could sprout forth righteousness; no more than a thistle could bring forth grapes or a nettle plant could bring forth oranges.
And thank you Jesus for Justifying me before your Father in Heaven by giving Your Own Blood. My unjustifiable position simply would never have been able to bring about it’s own justification.
Also, thank you Jesus for shedding Your Blood to sanctify me, because I know that my unsanctified condition could not possibly work within itself to change itself into a sanctified condition.
Thank you Jesus for being The Lamb of God and taking away the sin of the world.
And thank you for being my Atonement, and for bearing by sin in Your Own body on the tree.
Thank you Jesus for thus accomplishing my salvation and righteousness.
Thank you Jesus for removing the curse of the Law from off my shoulders by taking it upon yourself at Calvary. And that you did even after you had walked perfectly Righteous and Holy upon the Earth. Never sinning but always doing the will of your Heavenly Father. Always walking by the Law perfectly, in the Law Graciously, and through the Law thoroughly. Maintaining an absolute victory over the law.
And then You took that completed victory over the Law with you as you went to Calvary. And there on Golgotha’s Hill on that wooden cross you paid the penalty for broken Law that you had never broken; but you paid the penalty for broken Law that I had broken. And you did this in order to remove that need for a penalty for broken Law from off my head; and to deliver me from the Law’s curse and so that you could give unto me your own victory over the Law.
Thank you Jesus for accomplishing perfect victory for me over the Law, thereby delivering me from its curse.
Thank you Jesus, for Baptizing me in the Holy Spirit.
And, Thank you Holy Spirit for Baptizing me into Jesus Christ, thus immersing me into His Crucifixion and His Death. Thank you for immersing me into His Burial and thank you for raising me with Jesus and immersing me into the newness of His Life.
Thank you for immersing me into His Righteousness, and also for immersing me into His Love. Thank you for immersing me into His Victory over the Law, and thank you for immersing me into His Just Position before the Father.
For I through the Law am dead to the Law; that I might be able to live unto God.
I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ Lives in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.
I do not frustrate the Grace of God, for if Righteousness come by the Law then Christ is dead in vain. I do not frustrate the Grace of God, for if Righteousness comes from my works, then Christ’s Works were in vain. I do not frustrate the Grace of God for if Righteousness comes from anything I could do or from anything which I could accomplish, then what Jesus did and what He accomplished would be of no value. But all Praise and Glory be to God for what Jesus did and what He accomplished is of Extraordinary, Incomparable, Indispensable value. What Jesus did and what He accomplished was of Glorious, Wondrous, and Precious value. What Jesus did and accomplished was of such great value even to the saving of the believing soul of man. The value of what Christ has done is of such tremendous value, even to the changing of corruptible flesh into incorruptible and the taking away of the mortality of believing man and giving unto him immortality.
Thank You Jesus for accomplishing for me, “life in you.” |
