MADE PERFECT

How are we made perfect in every good work to do the will of God?
Heb. 13:20-21, says the God of Peace will make you perfect in every good work to do His Will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ.
But verse 20 says that this takes place, through the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant.
So it is done through Jesus Christ and His shed Blood which is the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant.

If we leave the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant; we also leave the method by which God makes us perfect in every good work to do His Will.
If we leave the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant; we also leave the method by which God works in us, to do that which is well pleasing in His sight.

Most Christians would say, “well we are not leaving Jesus Christ or the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant.” But if this really be the case, let me ask one question.
Where is your faith?
If we allow our faith to become entangled in anything other than Christ and what He accomplished at the Cross, if we allow ourselves to trust in the works of our hands, then we are in reality leaving the Blood of the Everlasting Covenant. And when we do this, we will have problems with the flesh. Simply because our faith can only be in Christ or the Flesh. There is no middle ground. Whatever is not of Faith is of flesh.
It’s important to examine ourselves continually, to see if we are in the Faith, so that we are not found to be reprobates. I always keep in mind that the fight I have is a fight of faith.
