TO ME GOD IS

Have you ever talked with somebody about God and heard them say something like, “To me God is?”
This seems to be a very common thing among people now days. If God doesn’t suit the purpose of an individual, they simply change God.
The conversation often goes something like this.
    Q. Do you know you are sinning and that God will judge you one day and hold you accountable for the sins you have committed?
    A. Well, To Me God Is someone who is very loving and he would never condemn me to hell just because of a couple of things.
You see the God they are believing in, is not really God. But they are believing in a false God.
The second commandment says, “though shalt have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3). However, if we change what God is like in order to suit our purpose, we will have at that point “created another god in our own mind.” This is Idolatry (This is what John was talking about in 1 John 5:21, when he said, “Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”), and unfortunately, is all too common in this country, and perhaps around the world.

JESUS

There would actually be no point to Jesus Christ dying on the Cross and shedding his blood, if God was lenient enough to just overlook our sins. As a matter of fact, producing a God from whatever we choose to imagine, makes sin a rather irrelevant subject altogether, because all we would have to do, is create a God who accepts whatever we want to do.
Is this not the most ridiculous thing you have heard of? But it is happening everywhere, in and out of Churches.
The sad thing is people who are doing this are unequivocally bound for hell, because there is no place in this kind of thinking for a savior. And without a savior, the fact is, we cannot be saved.

BUT, GOD IS LOVE!

Yes, God is Love. However, this is only one side of his many faceted personality. For instance, wrath is also a definite part of Gods personality. This is a side of God brought out by rejecting Him and his Christ.
Very often people get quite taken up with the fact that God is Love. Therefore, they imagine that it would be impossible for him to condemn millions of people to Hell. Unfortunately, this is again a case of people creating a God in their mind, which will suit whatever purpose they desire.
This type of idolatry tends to make people feel comfortable with their lifestyles. Make no mistake; this is a deception of the Devil. Of course I’m sure that many of the same people who have created a God to their own liking, also do not believe there is a Devil, or else they just think he is irrelevant because the God which they are believing in would never let them live in hell with the Devil, forever and forever.

HOW CAN WE BE SURE?

How can we be sure that the God we are serving and worshiping is the One True God?
Worship the One True God, the only God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This is the God which The Christian Holy Bible teaches us about. In order to know what he is like in reality, we need to study the Bible.
If what we are believing about God is not according to what the Holy Bible teaches, then our thinking as to what God is really like is corrupted. I am not going to spend a lot of time explaining who God is, or what the Bible tells us about Him at this point because there is simply too much to tell in this format. Suffices to say, if you really want to understand something about what God is like, then please read a Bible.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1. All have sinned (Romans 3:23; 5:12).

3. God is Holy. ([Leviticus 19:2; 21:8]a Great Quality of God)
4. Because of Gods Holiness and Righteousness, sin is an abhorrent thing. God cannot and will not live with sin.
5. Jesus came to pay the price which God demanded for our sin (Romans 3:25).
6. Believing (faith) in what Jesus Christ did on the Cross and his resurrection (Romans 10:9-10), is actually the delivery system which God has chosen to use to bring us redemption from sin (The Blood of Christ takes our sins away, at which point, God will no longer see the sin).
7. Upon Believing in what Christ has accomplished for us (Galatians 2:21 & 2Corinthians 5:21): God imputes Righteousness to us. (This Righteousness is actually Gods Righteousness given to us)
8. The Holy Spirit will now live in the person (1Cor. 3:16; Acts 10:44, 19:6) who has received the Righteousness of Christ. He will work wonders in that persons life, as long as they keep what Christ has accomplished on the Cross as the object of their Faith (John 16:13 & Romans 8:2).
9. The Rapture (taking up of the Saints to meet the Lord in the Clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord [1 Cor. 15:51-55 & 1Thessalonians 4:15-17]) could happen any day. If you are one of the people who are trusting in the finished work of Christ; you will be included in this blessed event.
